Natural Coating Binders

Our newest technologies for coating, Pen-cote® L binder and Pen-cote® D binder, give coating formulators the ability to extend up to 60% of the latex binder in a coating formulation on a 1:1 basis, one part Pen-cote® L substituted for one part latex. The coating formula will have the same or better binding strength compared to the manufacturers current latex formulation. This is because our product is high in molecular weight, and water holdout is improved to keep the binder on the sheet surface. The customer gets higher value from substituting equal parts of the costly latex for less-expensive Pen-cote L or Pen-cote D while maintaining or improving quality.
