Apollo^® 4200 Series Starches

Apollo cationic corn starches are manufactured using a quaternary amine, as are all Penford cationic starches. They are effective over the entire pH range normally encountered in papermaking, including alkaline. They are used in virtually all grades of paper and paperboard to develop strength, help with retention of both fines and fillers, and to reduce BOD.

The products in the Apollo 4200 series are cationic hydroxyethylated size press starches with the additional filming properties of the Penford^® Gums.
